Greetings!
I got my first TS gateway chicks in March 2021. I purchased six, thinking a couple of the little leggers wouldn't make it. Well they did, and I shared three of the ladies with a friend, who's now also a proud new chicken mama. Then we got 3 golden comets, one of which was a cross beak and died, 2 SLW, and 1 GLW pullet. My hubby joined the fun and found a gentleman of a rooster - so 8 hens and 1 SLW rooster - all under a year old. They're laying 7-8 eggs a day and we've had so much fun giving away eggs to friends and colleagues.
I have my first batch of eggs in the Nurture Right 360 incubator due to hatch on Tuesday (from the said motley flock), so I'm getting excited to go into lockdown tomorrow night. In addition to chickens, I have a lovey horse called Gus, two dogs, two cats, and some bees. For my real job, I'm an archaeologist. I've enjoyed following the threads on here and thought it would be nice to contribute. Here's a photo of the fun little flock.
