Hello, new member!
I have 5, 1 week old Salmon Favorelles! My first chicks as an adult. My parents had them when I was a kid but
first time on my own. Chicken house is built and ready for them when they have their feathers. They are doing great and excited to get new ideas from everyone! My other love is Golden Retrievers which I whelp a litter once a year.

Hello and welcome to BYC! :frow Glad you joined.
If you're using a brooder plate for the chicks there's no reason you can't brood them directly in their coop. It's much cleaner and healthier for everybody. But most especially for the chicks.
They are in a room with lots of space and a heat light, I clean them constantly. I would not feel comfortable with them in the hen house yet. This way, I get to know them and spoil them.
