I am new to BYC, but not to chickens. I have had my own yard chickens and raised them for Tyson. I am looking forward to getting started again. If your in my neighborhood look me up. I live between Russellville and Clarksville, AR in Knoxville.
 
Thanks for the welcome from Alaska. No I'm not going back to work inspecting dead chickens for the government. I just want a few in the back yard that I like to mess with. I like lightweight chickens like Leghorns and bantams. Thanks again for the welcome. Hudd66

If you like the lightweight breeds, then the world is your oyster!

Leghorns now come in some lovely colors! Spotted, buff, black, and two shades of brown.

Also, there are so many very pretty mediterranean breeds. The very historical White Faced Black Spanish, the brightly colored Campine, or the quick little Hamburgs.
