New on the subject of chickens as in breeds and rasing them

No don't have any at th moment but I do have plenty of room to raise them got 6 acres

Welcome! My niece just moved here and wants to join 4-H to show my bantam cochins! I have 5.5 acres...it's great for chickens! Just remember to plan for safety and predators!

Six acres is a nice size spread. You'll have plenty of room when you do get some chickens. Do you have any breed preferences?

Not sure maybe RIR or Barred rock but I am still learning about the breeds of birds yet

Welcome to BYC! With six acres you can do most anything. I'd go crazy with that much room to fill with chickens!
