New pullet not laying regularly

I have a pullet that just started to lay 1 1/2 weeks ago. One days is a hard shell the next I'll get 1-2 soft shells. I'm kinda new at this but that normal. She is a special needs bird. She's blind in one eye and knock kneed but she is a fun bird. She's on layer and has egg shells and oyster shell available. Any help please.

sine she's a special needs hen that may just be how she is. Then again if you're like most of the places here the heat and the fact that she's a new layer my be the problem. She may do better in better weather and the older she gets.
