Hello,
I am new to BYC. I have been reading for a while, but first time posting.

I have 5 pullets (I think). We brought them home the end of July. They spent the first 3 weeks in our bath tub until moving into their finished coop. Hand fed by us and they have gotten used to our two hound dogs.
They are big and lovely and I would love to keep them all, but I am worried we have a roo or two.

I am getting the photos on my computer and will upload in a moment.

The breeds I have are: barred rock, golden lace wyandotte, buff orphington, mottled java and americana.

Any help with determining if there is a roo in the bunch would be appreciated.

Thanks a bunch, Krista

It worked when I clicked on the link. I'm thinking the BR is a pullet. I'd offer a guess on the BO as being a pullet also, but cant really say since all I really see is her fluffy butt!

eta: I answered before you added the rest of the links. I'm still going with pullet on the BR, BO & the GLW.

The Barred Rock and BO look like pullets, but I'm worried about the GLW. I think it may be a rooster. That comb and wattles are pretty red and prominent for its age.
