New with chickens

:frow :welcome Most of us use storage bins with vent holes made into the top, some use heat lamps, some use brooder heats, there threads in the forums for starting and raising, we each have our own way, lots of it is cost factor and what you want to do, there is a lot of knowledge on the sight,
What size storage bin do you recommend for 11 chicks?

Try to get a hold of a large appliance box. Cut big "windows" out of the sides and tape screen over them for lots of ventilation. I strongly suggest using a brooder plate as the heat source replicates natural chick heating, won't overheat them like a heat lamp can, is far less of a fire hazard and is much less expensive to operate.

I suggest something with high walls, my chicks loved to test their limits and try to jump out of the box all the time lol! A thermometer for monitoring the brooder temp is also a necessity; the regular temp should be 90-95 degrees F. Plenty of fresh shavings, fresh water and food (crumble), mirrors or other safe toys, low roosts...
hope this helped a bit and good luck! :)
