(1) Are you new to quail / when did you first get quails? I am very new, just got into quail this last fall. Hoping to get more sometime this year. Love these little guys!

(2) How many quails do you have right now? 3, the breeding pair and their adult/teenage chick. I'm hoping the eggs are still viable since she stopped sitting on them this morning.

(3) What breeds do you have? I only have the King quail.

(4) How did you find out about BackYardChickens.com? I forgot.

(5) What are some of your other hobbies? Thinking of ways to convince my family that more quails are necessary. The lonely single bird is about ready for a male companion.

(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share. There is only quail and tiny chickens now.....lol just kidding. I like art, gardening, humor, video games, looking for things to be passionate about in life, starting new projects, actually doing those projects, call my projects 'experiments', re-realize I need to plan out my garden and my experiments, re-planning my experiments, forget what I was doing and end up doing them anyways, making long lists, failing at humor, go on YouTube for one thing then get distracted by cool new videos about things like 'composting' and 'garden things', and then tell the cat to stop sitting on the keyboard...............Oh, and hoping to develop a better understanding of not just my quail but of all poultry birds from people who have them.

G’Day from down under Not_A_Robot :frow Welcome!

In case you have not found it yet, BYC has a Quail Forum

I hope that your hatch is still a goer and that you enjoy being a BYC member. There are lots of friendly and very helpful folks here so not only is it overflowing with useful information it is also a great place to make friends and have some fun.

If you include your general location on your profile, this will assist others. Location, climate, season etc can be important factors when members are responding to any questions you may have and vice versa.

You might want to also Find Your State Thread and pop in and say hello.

BYC has Topic of the Week discussions which I have found to be a great resource, informative and sometimes entertaining; so definitely worth checking out if/when you expand to chickens also.

If you would like to share Pictures and Stories of your Quail, you have come to the right place. BYC’ers never tire of these and do not back away slowly or commence eye rolling when the photo album or home videos come out ;)
