No eggs yet

you need time. generally they lay at 8 weeks could be a smidge earlier or a few weeks later but 8 is pretty much expected.

Mines started laying at 7 weeks 1 day. First just one egg (7 hens). Next day 2 eggs. Today 6 so far. Be patient. I was hoping for eggs at 6 weeks, but they lay when they're ready.

8 days since breeding started still no eggs. I notice one of my males really chases a lot, if no eggs by next weekend he may be on the grill

If you're sure you have 12 hens and 6 roos, you may want to cut down to 3 males for your first barbecue. If there's one that's chasing the ladies constantly and they don't really seem to like him, that would be one on the list. You also might choose your runtiest ones; although they'll give you less of a meal this time you want the good genes to get passed on to the next generation for future meals.:thumbsup
