No feathers on their Butts!

2 of my friends 7, chickens have been missing feathers on their butts for about 1 month now. They are approximately 6 months old, eat purina food so I am sure they are not lacking protein. I am not sure what to tell her the issue is. I would think if it was lice, they all would be missing feathers. The coop is plenty big. Any ideas???

It's very likely that one or more birds in the flock are feather plucking/eating. Probably the bird or birds in best feather are the culprit/culprits.

How do you fix that? Other than a BBQ, lol
