Well bringing this up after a LONG time...3 weeks old today

...I have 4 hens with chicks at the moment One of those, I think you saw on the special needs chickens thread, my old disabled Dorking hen who adopted three chicks abandoned by another hen. And Marka is one of those, too--she's still taking care of her nearly 11-week-old babes!

Thanks! I did see that one, what a sweet bird. Oh gosh, 11 weeks?! If it were Cruella's babies they'd be three times her size at that point

Haha, I believe you, they already look quite big next to her! Marka's are bantam Cochins, so still smaller than her individually, but way too big to all fit under her anymore despite their best effort to every night!

Those are the perks of only having three chicks I guess. But I remember when Cruella had 5 LF eggs under her, she did NOT look comfortable
