IMHO just way to much to spend on a chicken or even a vet for that matter, but I do understand some folks feel different since the chicken movement has evolved more into a pet movement above all else it seems. For that kind of cash my other birds could get all kinds of cool upgrades.

Update- We took her to the vet today. They said that the liquid should be absorbed naturally. If it isn't absorbed and she continues to get worse they will use a needle to draw it out. They also gave us some antibiotics that we will have to give her orally for 4 days. Hope she does ok.
We were able to get an X-ray and saw all the liquid inside of her. I might be able to get them to send the pic to me and possibly upload it here

Her swelling on her abdomen has been going down quite a bit now. I think she will do just fine
