Hi folks! This handsome fellow wandered onto our land late summer and spent the fall learning to crow. He arrived with his beak like this. It is perfectly (imperfectly) aligned and does not look like crossbeak/scissor beak to me. Zero trouble eating. My friend wants to have him for a sleepover with her hens in the spring but is worried about crossbeak genetics. I'm wondering if it was simply trauma as a chick that he was lucky enough to survive.
Thoughts?? Thanks!

Thank you for your reply and also identifying him! He moved in with my two adolescent peacocks on his own. They have a happy little bachelor pad.
