These have no waddle and they are the small breed. Does this mean there old.

Can't tell their age really. They look like sebrights. Both appear to be pullets/hens. I will air on the side that they are not old.

Pretty sure it's a cockerel. Are you sure it's only 8 weeks?

Not not sure about this splash Ameraucana, it is 9 weeks old, comb is quite developed but not overly red. Tail looks like a pullet to me, I don't see any hackle or saddle feathers yet. There is one feather with red leakage on the shoulder area, I am far from and expert and need their help

The breeders and show experts on the Ameraucana thread would definitely be able to help you. This one looks SO similar to mine - except that he turned out to be an EE (willow colored legs) - his feathering is very similar and my bird only had a partially reddish comb until recently (it started in full growth mode around 10 wks old). He is shown in my avatar pic at about your bird's same age...
