Not Sure If You've Got A Pullet Or Cockerel? Click Here! Thread 2

not looking like cockerels but give it time!

Thank you for your reply. Based on markings, I think there is a pretty high percentage of pullets. I was just wondering if anyone else saw what I saw.

six week old chicks - males? females? thanks. mothers are F1 splash Ameraucana mixes father is a pure bred Wheaten Ameraucana #1 - hatched yellow with 'chipmunk' stripe #2 #3 - hatched yellow with very faint 'chipmunk' stripe #4 - hatched red #5 #6
watch 1 and 4, those are 2 with possibilities of becoming cockerels. Combs are already larger and color of #1 can mean cockerel. The rest appear to be pullets.

I see what you're saying about #1, but #4? the red one? It looks identical to my easter egger that lays eggs when she was that age.

#4 is female. I'm questioning #1 and #5. Both have chunky combs. It's still a bit early for rooster red to be coming in yet on the shoulder, so keep an eye out for that.

Thank you. I'll watch those two for sure.
I meant 5! 1 and 5! Sorry!

I've got a pullet who looks identical to 4. She's definitely a she.
