Hey y'all! I was thinking about breeding my French Black Copper Marans and Lavender Orpingtons to sell and ship day old chicks and hatching eggs. From what I have read, I would need to be NPIP certified to ship across state lines. Do i still need to be NPIP certified to ship within my own state?

That depends on which state you live in. Every state has their own rules. Some states require that you be NPIP for any poultry transactions whether they are Intrastate or Interstate while others only require it for Interstate transactions.

You can call your state veterinarian for information about your state's NPIP requirements.
