no problem. That's why I'm just going to process them. Part of hatching my own birds is excess boys. They do make good soup though.

I can't keep them. I have a total of 7 roosters and that is too many for the girls. They are not my pets they are a product of my farm. If I hatch out extra cockerels and no one needs them I grow them to 6 months and process. All my hens get used for eggs I either sell or feed my family. To many roosters stresses the hens and they stop laying.

Get some Duramycin quick. Or some other antibiotic. check your coop for humitiy, it might be to humid.

And of course go to the emergency thread.

I keep meds on hand in the frige just in case.

Should anyone have eggs they want hatched keep in mind some folks like me might amiable to using their broody hen. I've done this in the past for duck folks.

I just got an email from a friend asking for egg since his girls don't have a rooster and the hen I sold him is broody. Just saying.
