OEGB Coop

We have a pair of oegb's and are trying to decide on a coop and run for them. We have been looking at the 2 story coop on the coop designs.

However, how much room do they require since they are so small? Do they require as much room as my other bantys, if so I know their minimums. I do not want to crowd them. I know that more is better, but I want to know the minimums so I have a starting place.

I plan to make a few eventually, but stick to the old square pens i've used for years... This really depends on how many birds, i wouldn't suggest more than a trio or quad in the dome pens.

Wow, that is a lot smaller than I thought they would need. The one we have been looking at is 4' x 4' x 5'

I have four OEGB/Serama hybrids (and one D'Uccle/Serama hybrid), and I keep them in an 8 by 8 foot coop/run, letting them out into an 8 foot diameter circular tractor during the day. This doesn't seem too spacious at all, in fact it seems a little cramped sometimes.

You'll never think "darn, I made that pen too big." The opposite isn't true, though. I'd start with the minimums for standard hens, and move upwards from there.
