Ended Official 2023 BYC Other Fowl Molt Contest

My zebra finches are going through a molt right now so I wanted to show you all! Obviously he's not a chicken so it's not an entry. He's loosing his color lol, all his feathers are temporary being replaced with fluffy down while the pin feathers come in.

Various colors. Been a few years since my last one past. Love the whites, and fawns. Also had a few society finches. I liked their chirping. Started with a pair, and well, you know, ended up with a small flock before I started to remove eggs.

That's really cool! I started with 10 pairs thinking "well they can't breed that fast, can they....wait no stop, STOP THERES TOO MANY" So yeah now I'm overrun with like 50 extra Zebra finches from earlier this spring and I have no idea what to do with them! I started selling them and it became a literal business! And they are still breeding like they took what I said as a personal attack lol.

That my friend is a Northern Water Turkey, they are disgusted gentlemen native to colder areas like Alaska and Canada, but are more commonly called False Canadian goose because of how friendly they are.
