15th Annual BYC Easter Hatch-Along
Hatching Fowl Photo Contest
Ends April 30th, 2024

Welcome to the Hatching Fowl Photo Contest. The stressful time of watching your baby fowl grow in the egg is now over, and hatching can begin. So get your cameras out because this contest is for photos of chicks, ducks, emus, quail, or any other domestic fowl hatching. At least one of the birds must be still partially in the eggshell (see pics of past winners below for examples).

If entries warrant, we will have two categories, landfowl & waterfowl, with prizes for both categories.

It's easy to enter, reply to this thread & attach (upload) your domestic fowl hatching photos!

To increase your chances of winning, please read the rules before entering.

Rules:
  1. Four entries per member. One entry per post, please.
  2. An entry is *one* photo of your domestic hatching fowl.
  3. At least one of the hatchlings must be partially in the eggshell.
  4. No people in the photo (no faces, fingers, hands, arms, etc.).
  5. All domestic hatching fowl allowed (chickens, turkeys, peafowl, guinea fowl, quail, waterfowl, pheasants, emu, etc.).
  6. Images that have been resized might be disqualified if they are too small to judge.
  7. No screenshots, watermarks, date stamps, text, etc., on the photo. No collages.
  8. The photo needs to have been taken by you.
  9. You cannot use a photo that won an award in another BYC-sponsored contest.
  10. High-quality images are recommended. Basic editing, such as cropping and other subtle changes, are allowed.
  11. ALL photos MUST be uploaded to BYC and not hosted on other image sites, personal websites, etc.
  12. Prizes are limited to one per person per contest.
  13. All BYC rules apply: Terms of Service (Rules)
  14. Entries will be accepted through April 30th, 2024, at 11:59 PM Pacific Time.
