Ended Official BYC Article Writing Contest #8 - Write and Win!

I have a question @sumi.....Does the article have to be informational? Like could I write an article with different profiles of each chicken in our flock? Thanks!
For this contest we prefer informational articles, so we can potentially add them to the Learning Center. If you'd like to write an article on your flock, you can make a Chicken Page for them:

Will you tell us if we accidentally make an article that makes the learning center?

I am thinking of writing an article on" leveraging a winning article into a free trip to Australia" of course I would settle for Ireland too........ I think I have cousins there some where around 40th cousins....

I need to add a few articles to the Learning Center still, once I got round to reorganising it. It's on my bucket list.

Ireland's prettier. Cheaper to fly here too.

So can you get an article in the learning centre without entering it in a contest? How would you get an article on building an incubator in the learning centre? Thanks!

I have written and posted my 1st article.

I was reluctant to do so, because I might scare Blooie off from writing hers.

Here it is:

I hope it does not upset too many of you, when I was looking for a method this would have helped me a lot.

I just had to cull a chick for the first time, and I did it this way. It was fast and peaceful. Thank you Ralphie for writing this article- It came just in time to save both me and the chick excess trauma.

Your so very welcome, When I had to first do it, It was heart breaking. I have PTSD and the other methods were so violent, they set off a flare up of the PTSD. Stumbling onto this method has allowed me to continue to raise chickens. I just cannot do it any other way.

I am actually thinking of setting up a larger system for full sized birds that occasionally need culling. As gruesome as it sound s to have a "gas chamber" it is by far the easiest on the bird and the human having to do the nasty deed.

@sumi I was looking back on older "Article Writing Contests" and in the really old ones Nifty listed article ideas/topics he would like to see written. "Crossing the Road… And a Ton of Other Chicken-Related Jokes!" was one of them. Do you think that is still an article you guys are looking for? If so I would love to write it!:)
