Photography
I love taking pictures, especially of my animals. I've been getting a little better over the years, but there's still so much to learn.
Last year I splurged on a nice camera, that's the biggest hobby purchase I've ever made.

I have a new hobby like every two weeks, but the consistent ones are…
Entomology: I’ve loved bugs since I was little, and being one of the only ppl I know who doesn’t mind them, I often hear my name called from across rooms to come rescue someone from a cricket or spider lol

Rock hounding: wether I find a cool rock in my yard or have to go pay to find cool rocks, I’m getting a cool rock

Wood carving: I’ve been carving for about two years now

Drawing: I’ve drawn ever since I could hold a pencil. Mostly animals but I’m trying to branch into people and scenery

I think photography kind of wraps it up. I take a picture of literally anything and everything when I go outside with my phone. It’s less of a hobby and more of a thing I just can’t help but do lol. So that’s all folks…

Entry #2: My second hobby is photography, like many others!
But, I especially focus on model photography! My usual focus is on my Breyer model horses. I enjoy bringing these horses to life through my photos!

Entry #1
Chicken-keeping!
I love everything about this hobby, it has so many benefits!
It's fun getting out and seeing the chickens every day.
The biggest sacrifice I make is probably listening to the neighbors' rants. ;)
I've been keeping chickens for a year and 1/2 so I would say I'm intermediate. I'm not an expert, but I do know the basics. 😝
I do breed and sell chicks, however it isn't my real job.

(Sorry about my roo in the photo, he's looking a little scrawny during his molt!)

My latest hobby is making hook rugs. This keeps my hands busy and my mind at ease.

I call these my pandemic pieces. I've lost too many friends to the virus.

My hobby is playing the harp, I’ve always wanted to play the harp, I remember being 6 years old and asking my parents if I could play the harp. There weren’t teachers available where I lived, and there wasn’t too many information so I couldn’t learn back then. So I started playing when the pandemic and lockdown started, at the age of 31. I wish I had more time to practice. I encourage everyone that wants to start playing the harp or any other instrument, it’s awesome and never too late, do it!!

Entry #3

My wife actually took up the hobby creating oil candles. My role initially was to assist in thinking of how to decorate them arranging the contents and trying to make them appealing to look at. My role expanded to learning how to drill holes in fragile glass for the wick. After researching this process, I found there is quite a bit to learn about drilling glass and if not done properly can result in health risks inhaling the fine glass dust created by the drill.

Obviously, the attraction for me is having something we enjoy doing together. More than just putting the material together and making the candle is doing the ground work. We find various glass containers at yard sales, thrift stores, estate sales, and so on. We've made these oil candles from old syrup dispensers to canning jars. I like finding unusual glass to work with as much as enjoying the finished product and posing it for a picture.

The following images are a selection of my favorite oil candles we made together.
