Hi have free range hens and this Buff Orpington hen made a nest in my wood pile. I didn't think all the eggs she was setting on would hatch, but they did! Biggest brood I have ever had. The little black chick has to be the daughter of my black bantam rooster. She has gone on to be an excellent mother herself, she likes hatching her brood in my big flower pots on the porch!

none of the chicks were hers. We gave her the chicks when they were 2 weeks old.

Cappucino is a West Bay Wild Chicken. The chicks are a White Bantam, a Black Feather Foot Bantam and a Buff Orpington.
