I had no idea the males of this breed were so colorful. He's gorgeous.

His neck and saddle feathers are a bit lighter in color than usual, that's why he looks more colorful than New Hampshire roosters from Google Images. It is the contrast.

He is also fatter than usual (lol) and has a lot of testosterone. Apparently, testosterone makes his feathers more shiny.

this is Darcy! he is a good rooster who loves his treats but not watermelon!

• Name: Darcy
• Age: just about 2 years old
• Color: black base with straw lacing and white chest
• Breed: he is a "breed in development" in making as a meat bird so i can be self sustaining. I just hatched out another batch of generation 1!
