Methodology:
I went back to the very first post and added them all up.

• I added all birds for which a count was given (chickens and ducks)
• I added up when a poster simply listed theirs rather than give a total
• I ignored follow up posts ("this is so messed up!") unless they added to the total ("I forgot to count the 6 hens")
• I ignored double posts

I tallied at every 50 posts to make sure my numbers were correct (well, as correct as they can be).

Hens: 1 White Rock, 3 Australorp, 6 mix Australorp/White Rock mix.
Roosters: 2 Australorp, 2 Australorp/ White Rock mix.

14 + 103 = 117

If you're counting ducks add two for mine.... for a total of 18 birds at my address not counting pigeons and doves..
If ADCgroup is correct (above) that gives us a total of 8494 plus 18 or 8512 so far in our running total.

We got them in May of this year. They have not started laying yet but hope to get some eggs rolling out this fall before the dark season hits.
