Ok, so as of right now, we have 9 silkies (7white, 2 black)not sure of gender
and we have 8 Golden sexlink pullets
we also have 30 cornish crosses for the freezer

the silkies are about 9 weeks old and the sexlinks are about 18 weeks old.
the cornish crosses are abour 4 weeks old.

i want some more 'different' birds. i would love to have a few blue silkies and a few buff silkies.. what would you all reccomend?? i am loving my chickens and i have almost a full 1acre that is dedicated to the chicken.. hubby says i can get 20 more and thats it lol

Welcome and woohoo, awesome hubby. Congrats on all your new babies.

An aweful lot of us on here have a soft spot for Ameraucanas or just easter eggers. So much fun for kids to collect colored eggs and they sure are pretty birdies.

How "different" do you want to get? I recently hatched out a bunch of mixed breeds from six types of hens and two different roos and I have 28 unique chicks. We're having a lot of fun guessing what color each will lay, who the momma was, who the daddy is and who the roos are. It has become so entertaining just to sit and watch.

im not sure what to get... hubby doesnt care lol i wouldnt mind a few new good layers.. the sexlinks havent laid yet lol. i love my silkies i cant wait to see what genders i have!
