Old and Rare Breeds

I don't think they'd be a bad place if you are not worried about color. I think you'll have a time separating out color varieties for a few years, but changes are you know more about breeding chickens than they do.

This was the first chicken brought to America by the Spanish (other than Games which can also contend for first place).

I wish more folks would take up the breeding and conservation of this old breed.

If there is any breed that could go by the name of 'American' it would have to be this one: the earliest of them all.
