A friend looking at the picture of the chicks thought they were Welsummers but the eggs were a slightly blue-ish white, not brown or speckled.

They kind of remind me of my Easter Egger chicks! That would explain the blueish tinge to the egg-- I do agree that they must be a mix of breeds. Oh, and
