They are around 20 weeks old. I’d love to show them because they are extremely friendly but i don’t know if it’d be worth it, I don’t want to go if they aren’t of decent quality. Does anyone that breeds bbs australorps have any insight?

And we should be shipping hatching eggs in the spring if anyone is interested🙃 they will be blue x blue so chicks will be a mix of blue, black and splash.

Have Blues been accepted as a color variation in the APA SOP? If not you can show them in the AOV class where they can place, but not advance in the show further. If they are accepted, you can compare yours to the SOP. I will say the lacing on the pullets is gorgeous. And the cockerel has a good posture/shape.

I honestly am not even sure. I’ll look into it though, i’m not sure why i just assumed that it was.

The lacing is looking good, and I'm not seeing any red leakage showing up in the boy so that's a good thing. Many of the blue rooster's get red leakage, so that's one thing that you need to watch out for. If you start to loose the better lacing in the blues, breed back to the black to help improve it.
We have one or two hens that don’t have great lacing so i think we will sell them next year to make more room for younger pullets.
