Ok this generic color has to still be alive somewhere? Anyone know of a true Dun program??? It isn't sex linked like chocolate but behaves more like blue producing Dun/khaki/dun splash like black/blue/black splash.

Please email me at the below address if I don't respond here if you know of any.

Thank you.

I would say that most "Chocolate" Orps in the USA or at least the USA lines are based on the Dun.. You can also introduce the Autosomal Dominant gene from known breeds that have them for example the Dun Sumatras

I have only found the sex linked chocolates that, when bred to blue, produce mauve and do not produce the brown splash I'm looking for the brown dun that isn't sex linked. It's also said to produce the platinum color. I really don't want to start from scratch as I know the has to be someone out there that has introduced it to orps but heck if I can locate any.

I worked with chocolate orps up until a couple years ago and located quite a few lines. They were all the sex linked chocolate.
Never heard of anyone working with dun based orps.

This is one of my hens. She is a large Fowl Sumatra.
