other food for baby chicks & ducks besides starter grower.

My babies are almost 5 weeks. Can they eat other food besides starter grower.
Any treats ? Cracked corn. ? Can my baby ducks have mealworms now I saw that earlier and would love to start getting them use to me.

! Pleased to have you here! By this age they can be introduced to treats - meal worms, chopped greens, maybe a little scratch.

You can start introducing them to other foods in fact you can start much earlier than 5 weeks. Leafy greens, tomatoes, apples and meal worms are great to supplement your chicks/ducks diet. Cracked corn one the other hand doesn't have any real nutritional value so I wouldn't give them too much. And

Great I will get some mealworms for the ducks. Do you recommend a treat.

Chickens can eat meal worms too just make sure they are small enough for them to eat. I am not sure what "baby cakes" are.
