Our first hatch of Cinnamon teal

Last year none of my Cinnamons hatched this year three of the five hatched.

That’s awesome! I had one pop out this morning! Along with a baby trumpeter Swan

We also had a Wood duck chick come out of the box today. There were five eggs but only one hatched.

I do love my little Green wings Mine won't start hatching until July and early August. The Green wing ducklings climb like crazy.

just a 3 week update the Cinnamons are starting to feather.

Our other Cinnamon started laying this week where the other ones are 3 weeks old. I'm not sure if they are fertile I never see the male breed with her.

Today I was out in the yard with 4 1/2 week old Cinnamon that has been the friendliest with me. He sits on my shoulder and doesn't run when I pick him up and has been flapping down to the ground for a few days. Well he flew across the yard on the way out to the aviary for the morning. So no more outside open yard fun for him anymore.
