Yes. My hens like eggshells. And they much prefer eggshells to oyster shell.
However, if you think about it, they need a bit more than their own eggshells because they use calcium in their metabolism as well as to make egg shells, and you might give away or sell eggs so not even give them back all the calcium they lost that way.
