#2 (Elvira) & #3 growing into their feathers ā¤ These 2 are my favourite of the bunch. The porcelain is still the friendliest, oddest, chick Iāve ever raised.
I'm hoping theyāre not both roos, because that would be just my luck lol.

She is just gorgeous! I recently hatched 4 Silkie eggs from a breeder who said they were from her paint pen but Iām confused as well since one looked pale blue (much lighter than my other older for-sure blue Silkie) & the others newly hatched look white, silver based white & possibly blue partridge. Iām really not sure though until they feather in more. But from a paint pen? Odd to meā¦.here are some pics of mine. The first photos are 24 hours after hatch so they werenāt yet all fluffed up. The last two are of the pale blueish one that is 11 days old & now feathering in a bit darker.Thank you Elvira turned out gorgeous! Iām still 99.9% certain she is a pullet, but so far I have 15 roosters from 20 chicks so knowing my luck she would make a quick turn around and surprise me by being a roo .
The chick that was the same colour as Elvira at hatch is a Silkied version of the same colour (silver partridge I believe?), hoping that one is a pullet too. And the porcelain one looks like it may be a pullet also, but itās still early. Sadly neither of them are feathering in as well as Elvira has, so I donāt have any recent pictures of them lol.
