My australorp hen is almost a year and a half and is one of 7 hens. She was broody for a few weeks. She is starting to get out of her funk but I noticed today that her comb was very pale. She has also lost a lot of weight. Other than this, she is acting normally jumping around, playing with the other chickens. Is this a normal sign of coming out of broodiness? If not, what is it?
Thanks

When they are broody, it is common for the comb to become pale and to lose weight. If she is 18 months old, she may be getting ready to start her first big molt, and they will have a pale comb and stop laying for a month or two as they re-grow their feathers.
