Pasty Butt in Chick

One of our chicks we got yesterday had pasty butt. I cleaned it and applied Vaseline, but the chick's bottom is really swollen. It has been a day. Chick is eating, drinking, and walking just fine. Should this heal on its own, or do I need to do something else. I tried pushing it back on gently, with no luck.

You an use some Preparation H to help the swelling. If pasty butt continues, wash off very gently and make sure it's not too hot (warm and cold zones.) I'm betting it's going to be fine.
