Pennsylvania!! Unite!!

Fisherlady, you always have such great hatches with your broodies.....no need for you to incubate any other way.

We have been blessed with some awesome broody hens! We just spoil them, they do the work and we get to enjoy the benefits! I must confess... we don't even own an incubator! Though it seems we have at least 7 in our coop now... and our December hatch with Gracie was 3 of her own eggs because I was wanting to make sure we had another generation of broody types for when Gracie got older.... and Pidgy's Sept hatch was 3 of her own for the same reason... little did I know that within a couple of months we would have 4 large fowl hens go broody too! So I totally expect that when Gracie and Pidgy's youngsters get older we are going to be over run with broody hens and will need to find some loving homes....
