I wanted to get some Pheasants for FFA. I was just wondering do i need a permit for them in Illinois?? Also can pheasants live with chickens??

You would have to check with your local fish and game dept as all states are different on licensing gamebirds. They can not to kept with or close to chickens.
In N.H.,Tony.

If you are raising them for 4h then you will not need a permit. My hubby and I raised them to sell so we needed a permit. If you are worried about it, you can go to Gander Mountain to get a permit and I believe they are only $10, or you can go on the internet and fill out the form, pay for it and print it without leaving home. I wouldn't put pheasants and chickens together. Pheasants are cannibals especially if they don't have enough room. They need about 10 sq. ft. per bird and to be on the safe side you should put peepers on them.

I was told to raise them for eating or release you need a class A permit, $10.50 I think. And sell them or eggs you need a class B permit, $21 I think.
