Yup, I would create create new fb account but right now I seldom use facebook. BYC is my new hangout page. I want to talk about chickens. Chicken obsessed. Lol

i have about 350 chicken friends on FB

it is also a good source of info. for poultry.

they are Buff Orpingtons

buff is their color & the breed started in Orpington England more than 100 years ago.

OZ has some at his place from the same bloodline

I think i have a serious problem with one of my pullets. This morning, i noticed that the largest pullet has a pasty butt. She has white discharge but it doesn't smell bad. i doubt that it's vent gleet. My opinion is, there is a broken egg inside her.

i'm thinking the discharge is the eggshell because of its texture. I inserted my finger in her ven this morning but her inside appears to be clear.Later this afternoon i tried inserting my finger again in her vent and i can feel the round hard thing and i'm almost sure that it's an egg.

Will she die due to the broken egg? What could possibly went wrong?
