Picked on?

My buff Orpington hen has so far hatched 8 baby silkie/bantam chicks.. one of the newer (I don't believe it's the newest addition but it's one of the newer ones) chicks has a little section of fur missing from it's neck area... Was it born like this or is the mom pecking on it? Ive seen her peck at the chicks somewhat but not any removing of feathers, I'm not sure what's happening. Thanks!

I totally forgot to add pictures the pictures arent great but mama was about to lose it, she was very angry with me. The chick doesn't appear to be bleeding, the missing feathers go all the way around its neck.

Where did you get the eggs and is it possible there was a naked neck parent? It looks like it's a naked neck with the way the bald patch goes around its neck.

I bought them from a farmer, all she said was that it's a mix of silkies and bantams so I'm not sure what kinds they are.

If that's the case I think there is some nake neck genetics in there.
