How do they breed new generations if the legs go out before they are old enough to lay/reproduce? Just curious.

They can't by them self.
Body shape makes it impossible.
Man has to do it for them.
That's where the name 'factory birds" comes from.
There are prices to pay for fast meat and its usually the animals health.
