thanks 😊 she looks like a Peony I am told haha.

Thanks she’s a cutie. And totally wild! Not nice and tame like her egg mama.

Thanks 😊

Thanks much appreciated, I am always gobsmacked at the variety of colours and feathers on chickens.

🥰🥰🥰 she is very soft and fluffy.

😁😁😁😁 thanks ♥️

Thanks everyone for your congratulations - much appreciated. Betty is named after BY Bob’s hen who was also a frizzle polish 🌹♥️
You know, she really does look like a peony.

As a follow-up to my previous post... I should have knocked on wood when I said Agnes was doing a "broody impression"... She is in fact full-blown broody. First time I've had a hatchery RIR go broody on me. She's very dedicated to the 8 eggs she's squirreled away. Fingers crossed, hatch day should be right around the 31st of May.
Newbie here ... how do you know if a hen is broody? Other than my matriarch making 'googling' noises when I put these last batch of babies in and she didn't want to kill them. Her 'sister' on the other hand wasn't so keen on this batch. But how would I know if my girls were broody, and how old are they when usually show signs?
