I had to make Sebastian a diaper that provided a little more coverage after I picked up half of a pallet of lettuce for free off of Craigslist. My chickens, ducks, and goose are loving it!

Is it possible for geese (and ducks) to eat too much lettuce? They are still eating their pellets, but a LOT of lettuce. I'm a bit worried about their nutritional intake.

I don't know about eating too much lettuce but that has got to be the biggest diaper I have ever seen.

Lettuce - iceberg lettuce anyway - has very little nutritional value. Eating a whole lot of it can reduce the minimum protein level intake. They do love it - but I give no more than a couple cups apiece every few days.

Let me say I am NOT an expert, but I do know that iceberg lettuce has the "poorest" nutritional level of any greens.

Yes, the diaper is big, but the close-up pictures make it look HUGE!
