planning my garden

so what should I plant for the girls? Any big successes? I know they will enjoy teh cherry tomatoes but beyond that... I need some ideas as I plan my garden!

My chickens absolutely love carrot tops, so I am going to plant a lot more carrots than usual this year.

Swiss Chard, spinach, lettuce, overgrown cucumbers, squash, tomatoes, watermelon, cantelope, pumpkins, grapes. I tried broccoli and my birds would not touch it. I am going try spaghetti squash this year, does anybody have experience with feeding it to their chickens? You have sparked me to dig out the Gurneys catalog a little early - Thanks for that.

Hi,
Our flock loves zucchini, we always plant more than we need so there's a steady supply of over sized to big to use as stuffer's so the birds get those.

Ours don't touch zucchini, but they love yellow squash (go figure).

My chickens will eat ANYTHING in the garden. They not only eat all the veggies and the fruit but also the plants as well, including my jalepeno and habanero peppers. Oh, mine also like there veggies cooked as well.
