Yes, though it is a rooster regardless of the breed. That coloration is only seen in males.

Yes. Roosters and hens have completely different color patterns. Yours will look better once he matures. Here are some of mine.

Oh wow! Yours is a beautiful roaster! I hadn't planned on getting a roaster because I have 2 small children and was afraid they might get flogged or spurred. How is their temperament as a breed?
