Please help with gender and possibly breed.

Help! We have two barred rock pullets. Or so I think. Unsure the gender I'm fairly certain the one is for sure barred rock and a pullet but the other I think might not be a rock. Our friend traded us a pullet because we had a rock that was definitely very white- so most likely a roo and she need a roo. But I don't think what we she traded is a rock. First picture is of the one in question. The second picture is the one that we are fairly certain is a rock and a pullet.

Both look like pullets to me.
The first one I think is a Cuckoo Maran, the second is a Barred Rock.

The first has the correct leg color for a Cuckoo Marans, but the second should have yellow legs for a barred rock - and it's barring doesn't look quite right for a BR. I'm going to say the second is a cuckoo marans cockerel.

They also look much older than 2 months. Probably closer to 3.
