Have you tried a plastic coop? Wood has lots of nooks and crannys to hide in, whereas plastic doesn't- maybe try searching plastic chicken coop. I personally have plastic coops and would highly recommend them- Ive never had red mite in them and they are really easy to clean.
If buying a new chicken coop isn't an option for you, maybe try going to your local feed/ agricultural store and checking out what anti red mite powders or sprays they have.
If your chickens/ coop are a possible source I would recommend treating them to be on the safe side anyway. I hope your sort out your mite problem.
