@Nats Chickens I think your Chili has smoother tail feathers than Ash's and smoother broader even length feathers are usually female. Male juvenile tail feathers are usually different lengths, pointed, irregular. You might have a male in Ash but time will tell. They are so adorable!

Here is my golden laced - white crested rooster(4 years old) with his daughter. A polish /dutch bantam mix. She is 3 years old.

I too love the Polish. I don't have any at the moment because my wife prefers brown-shelled eggs for some reason. The very first chicken I ever had was a mixed gold-laced Polish and she was a pet. Her mother was owned by my godmother and was one of the rare ones who went broody, hatching a whole bunch of black (although you could still see the lacing, much like you can still see the spots on a black leopard) mixed breed chicks but who still had the beautiful full crests of the Polish. I'd like to get more someday, especially some of the newer blue varieties.
