poly vi sol

does poly vi sol go "bad?" I've had a bottle hanging around for a couple of years and was just wondering. I did go buy new tonight but would like to use up the old if anybody thinks it would be o.k.

It doesn't "go bad" but it becomes ineffective over time. The vitamins degrade.

How much to you give a standard size hen?

As much as you want. You cannot OD a bird on Poly-Vi-Sol because excess is flushed out by the kidneys. I believe the dose is 3-5 drops by mouth/day for one week and then as needed. Makes sure you are using the formula without iron.
