Pond for Muscovy Ducks

So I have muschovy ducks, pair and their duckling, and two natural ponds. one is supposed to be theirs, only about 5-6 foot squared and 3 feet deep. The other pond is mine (supposed to be) about 15 x 10 maybe 2 ft deep at the center. They prefer mine, but go back and forth to each all day. Both ponds have no liner. the soil here is clay, so i dig a hole and fill it with water and there you go, it doesnt seep into the ground like regular soil would. Frogs just appear, I put some gold fish in, some plants and wallah! Yes you need to add a little water each week but thats evaporation that you'll deal with regardless. My main pond has been here for about 6 years and this past summer I rejuvenated it by adding a waterfall, concreting the 1st two feet of the perimeter, so the ducks don't make a mud pond everytime they go in it. they love it and so does the family.
